Large instruments

IREIS innovation for scientific instruments
Large-scale scientific instruments are a field in which IREIS has extensive experience. In close collaboration with academic laboratories and companies involved in the design of these high-tech systems, IREIS is able to offer unique developments in terms of materials, configurations, coatings, component testing, and quality requirements.
Earth and space observation
Optical thin films for ESA and its European Technological Research Center ESTEC.
LSS mirrors, space simulation chamber: Reflecting mirrors designed to concentrate light flux, simulating solar flux towards a satellite in a vacuum chamber.
Reflecting mirrors to concentrate the solar luminous flux towards a satellite in the vacuum chamber.
Particule accelerator
IREIS has developed conductive aluminum layers (thick PVD deposition) on high-quality polymer foils, enabling the manufacture of printed circuits capable of transmitting high-frequency signals for CERN.

Fusion
Coatings for tokamak-type fusion reactors, such as ITER, and associated experiments like SPIDER, MITICA, WEST, ELISE, etc.
Molybdenum and tungsten deposits.
Low-emissivity coatings for cryogenic systems.
